We'd love to welcome you to any of our Sunday services. Many people comment on how welcome they are made to feel when they come along to one of services, as well as leaving encouraged by seeing so many people from across the age ranges. Here's what to expect at each of our services. For details of what's going on this Sunday, click here.
Sunday at 11.00 // Worship for Everyone
Before our Sunday at 11 many of us enjoy a cuppa and chat with others in our welcome area, while parents leave their babies and toddlers off in our Totz and Minikidz creche area.
The church building itself gets quite full, with a real mixture of ages and types of people: some are smartly dressed but others very casually dressed, so whatever you are wearing you won’t feel out of place. After some announcements, we worship God together using songs and prayers. We believe that praise to God should be joyful, reverent and God-centred, and importantly everyone should be included and not spectating. That's why our music is drawn from the best of the new modern songs as well as traditional hymns. Children are an important part of our church family, and we show that by including them in our service before they head out for their own age-appropriate programme (Bubbles, Splash, Xtreme or Totally Xtreme).
We also want to get to know God better, so that we can love Him more and discover how He wants us to live. So an important part of our service is taking some time to listen to what the Bible says and how it applies to our lives today.
For those who for some reason are unable to stay in the main church building, the service is relayed via large screen projection to our welcome area. The morning service finishes by 12.15pm.
Sunday at 6.30 // Worship, teaching, ministry
We meet fortnighty for these services which usually take place in our main hall. This allows for a much more relaxed and informal service, while at the same time still meaningfully worshipping God and hearing from His Word. Sundays at 6.30 provide a more extended time of worship, teaching, and time for prayer ministry. We finish at approximately 7.45pm, when everyone is welcome to stay behind for a cuppa and a further catch-up with others. A programme is provided for children most Sunday evenings.
